Photos

We had some photos taken of Jackson when he was 1 month old. It was the same photography company that took his picture at the hospital. The great thing was that they came to the house, which was wonderful considering he was pretty fussy at that stage. I was very happy with how the photos turned out, much better than I was expecting!

11 Weeks

Jackson is 11 weeks old today. He's just full of smiles and lots of giggles these days. And he's recently found an interest in playing with a toy for a short period of time. So far his favorite is "Mallory the Monkey." And no, I'm not referring to my sister. It's this colorful monkey that he is quite intrigued with. I've had the camera around the last couple evenings so I've snapped a few pics:

Welcome Mary Kathleen Miller!

Mary Kathleen Miller arrived on July 16th at 1:21 PM weighing 7 pounds 2 ounces. Congratulations to Maggie and Darris on this precious little girl. We can't wait to meet her!

Our cats love boxes, absolutely LOVE them. Scott left an empty bud light box in the laundry room tonight and both cats took a turn hanging out in there. So funny...

A Hard Day At School...

It was either a hard day of playing with his new friends at school. Or all that work to get those smiles on video tonight. But either way, he was so exhausted that he fell asleep while eating his dinner tonight. It was so funny that we had to snap a picture.

Jackson was full of smiles when I picked him up this evening. In fact, there were so many smiles that I grabbed the video camera to see if we could capture a few. The best one was unfortunately the one he gave us just as I hit record, but we got a few little ones on here...

Future Football Player

Scott bought this bib for Jackson last week. It says "On My Way to the Big House." We may have a future football star on our hands, though I'd rather him wear Burnt Orange and White on Saturdays...

I Love that Smile!

Jackson is full of smiles these days. I just love it when I talk to him and he smiles and giggles for me. It totally makes my day! Here is a great one from earlier today:

Mallory was kind enough to cook dinner for us tonight. It was a nice break and was very yummy! Thanks Mal!

2-Month Doctor Visit

Jackson took a trip to see Dr. G this afternoon for his 2-month check-up. Some friends of ours commented a little while ago about how they were not saving for college but instead were saving to feed their little boy. I think we are going to have to start saving for food as well....

Jackson weighs in at 14 lbs 2 oz (97%...holy crap!!), is 23.5" tall (just under 90%) and his head is 16" (75-80%). The doctor was filled with jokes and commentary about what a big little guy we have. But all joking aside, Dr G said he looks perfectly healthy and gave him an A+ on his "report card".

Jackson also received 5 immunizations today. There was a great deal of crying and it was a different type of cry. A really sad one. Poor little guy!

Happy 2-Month Birthday

It has been 2 months since Jackson was born! He's becoming so much more active these days and loves to show us his smile. He finally has his days and nights figured out...we've even had a couple nights where he has slept all the way through without waking up! Most nights he just wakes up once, but hopefully we will get more full nights soon. The reflux has finally gotten a lot better, but only after we tested almost every formula available. Jackson's teachers said he did very well this past week at daycare...especially after they realized that he's still too young for the schedule that they wanted to put him on.

Baby Boot Camp

Jackson and I joined a friend and her daughter at Baby Boot Camp this morning. For those of you who have never heard of BBC, it's basically a group of moms and strollers who meet with a trainer for some cardio and strength training. It ended up being a more challenging workout than I was expecting. I think Jackson enjoyed being outside in the fresh air, well at least most of the hour. We worked out early, but it was still getting pretty hot by the time we finished.

1st Day of School

Today was Jackson's first day of school. And my first day back to work. It was almost too many firsts for me to handle in one day! Jackson had an active night last night so I didn't get anywhere near the amount of rest I was hoping for. So I am totally wiped out now!
