Flat Stanley Visits Jackson

Mallory spent this past weekend with us as she looked for an apartment. She brought along her friend - Flat Stanley. I've never heard of him before, but I guess he is a big hit with the young kids she is teaching. Here's a picture of Jackson with his new buddy:

What a BIG Boy!

We had our one month doctor appointment this morning. Jackson was given an A+ on his "report card"! But I was shocked to see how much he weighs. I knew he was getting a lot bigger, but I was still surprised when I saw his weight on the scale. He currently weighs 11 lbs 12 oz (95th percentile), is 22.3" long (90th percentile), and his head is 15.3" (75th percentile). BIG boy! The nurse joked that he looked like a 2 month old already!

He received his Hep B shot today. It was sure tough on mama to hear him scream and see all those tears! I can't imagine how tough it will be next month when he needs to get a lot more shots! Poor guy!

The doctor is having us try a new formula to see if it helps with his reflux. If we don't have improvement by Friday, then we will start looking at some medication for little Jackson. I'm hoping the new formula will do the trick.

Tiger's Girlfriend

Ok, this is sad. But still pretty funny. Tiger has recently shown a strong interest in a certain someone. Or someTHING in this case. Tiger is fixed, so I had no idea that this could happen...but he is very attracted to a certain green blanket. Here is a picture of him in action. Strange...

One Month Old

Jackson is one month old today! He's doing great, becoming considerably more active and alert by the day. We are still trying to figure out how to help him deal with a bad case of acid reflux...which makes some of the days and nights (nights, in particular) very challenging. We are headed to the doctor on Monday for his one month check-up. I'm very interested to hear what the doctor has to say about his reflux. And I'm hoping I survive his first round of shots!
