Kitties!
I was packing for my trip tonight and observed Maggie and Tiger being overly affectionate with me, as if they knew I was leaving and didn't want me to go. So I jokingly said that if they became friends and cuddled that I would stay. Well a few minutes later this is what I found:
Not exactly cuddling, but this is considerably close for the two of them. I wonder if I can pack them in my suitcase??

Nikes!
It was a big day for Jackson on Saturday...we bought his first pair of Nikes! We were on a mission to get him a couple new pairs of shoes for school. So we went home with some great sandals and these fun Nikes. I can't wait to see him racing around in his "running" shoes!
And here are a few photos from the past week:
The shirt says it all!!
See what I mean??
This is never a good look...
Check out the new haircut, makes him look so much older (sigh):
And here are a couple videos from the weekend. I keep trying to get a good shot of his walking skills, but he is suddenly way too quick for me! This first one is him trying out his new sandals (he was a little unstable at first, so cute) and enjoying his balloon, a nice gift from the shoe department:
And this video demonstrates his new favorite past time...going through my stuff. Clearly I need to find a new location for the diaper bag!

Officially a Toddler...
Jackson is now officially a toddler...He has completed the transition into the Toddler Room at school. They originally placed him and his two buddies (a little boy and a little girl that are the same age as him) into a transition room at the beginning of June. These kids were just beginning to think about walking and therefore weren't quite ready to mingle with the big kids. Well, fast forward a few weeks and these kids are officially walkers, so it was time to make the big transition. They were going to start it as a slow transition for Jackson since he can get upset when his routine changes. So yesterday morning I dropped him off in the new classroom, they planned to leave him in there as long as he was still happy. Guess what?? He stayed ALL DAY! He loved it in there, was running around and playing with all the new toys and new friends. Because it went so well, they decided that the "transition" time period was complete and he is now officially a member of the Toddler Room. We are excited about this change because we think the time with the older kids will really help him with his growth and development. In fact, I already saw a few minor changes in him last night...For example, he was much more interested in using walking for all travel as opposed to the occasional crawling that he was doing after he would stumble.
Here is a pic they took at school yesterday. Sorry it is blurry, they printed it for me and then I scanned it. But I wanted you to see how incredibly excited and happy he is.
