A Little Improvement...

This is the closest and calmest I have seen Maggie and Tiger. Maggie is still very unhappy with her new little brother, but here she seems content to sleep away the day with him in the same room (notice that he is on the other chair...we have a long way to go before she will be willing to share her space with him).

We will be handing off the kitties to Scott's parents before we leave for Dallas. This way they won't be left alone and we won't have to worry about what to do with them when the house is being shown to potential buyers. We meet with our realtor later today, so hopefully we will get this house on the market soon!

Baby Ryan will be a Texan...

Well, it's official. We are moving back to Dallas. I have an incredible range of emotions when I think about this move...I'm so excited to go back to the warmth, sunshine, family and friends in Texas; I am so sad to leave to the wonderful friends that I have made here in Minneapolis; I am scared to death about how we are going to start new jobs, find a new doctor, sell our current house, buy a new house and move everything all while being very pregnant or with a newborn. I've had a difficult time in the last couple days handling these huge emotions, but I know that we will get through this and will be very happy we made this move in the end.

Scott joked a couple months ago about how we should try to find a way to have the baby in Texas, just so that he would be a Texan. Looks like we found a way...

Week #26 Update

Here's a quick update on my doctor's appointment yesterday and my quickly expanding belly...

All went well at yesterday's appointment. I saw a new doctor and really liked her, but she doesn't spend much time at this office location and hospital, so I probably won't see her again. She was very thorough and more than willing to answer all of my questions (I had a lot yesterday!) Many of the doctors I have seen appear to be in such a rush to move on to the next patient; it was nice to finally have one who would take as long as necessary with me. I have to go back in 2 weeks for the glucose tolerance test, not really looking forward to drinking that lovely orange beverage that they gave me. When the label warns you of vomiting, dizziness and fainting as possible side effects, you know it can't be good!

My big news is my BIG belly. I had a big weight gain in the last month and I think it shows in my quickly expanding belly. (It shows in a few other places too, but we won't go there!) Here's a new belly pic, it was pretty tough to take today because Tiger was trying to "help".

Nothing is Easy...

The furniture was delivered last night around 9PM (seems late for a delivery in my book, but maybe the rest of the world doesn't have to go to sleep as early as I do these days!). The crib had been damaged in transit, leaving the wood split on one of the corners. Then the delivery guys damaged the dresser when they were setting everything up. Ugh! So, a new crib and dresser are now on order. Hopefully they will arrive with as much speed as the original furniture did, but I guess it could take up to 10 weeks if they don't have the items in stock at their warehouse. Glad we started this project as early as we did!
