Under the Sea

Jackson's art is on display in the gazebo at school.  This one is titled "Under the Sea":

San Antonio Trip

Jackson and I took a weekend trip to San Antonio to visit Mimi and had lots of fun stuff planned...

Of course we had to go to Kiddie Park.  They have added a new attraction...pony rides.  It was a total rip off, but Jackson really wanted to ride.

I really wanted to take him to the Quadrangle as I had very fond memories of going there when I was a kid.  It is a bit more difficult to get there now, but after a full background check, we were ready.  Unfortunately it was crazy hot, so Jackson just wanted to leave.  But I loved seeing all the friendly animals!

And then the main attraction was a day at Sea World!  Jackson was so excited!  We didn't expect he would make it the full day so we got there early...well we were wrong.  Jackson had no desire to leave, even after the park was closed!

Amy!!

Amy came to visit this weekend!  Yay!  We had a super fun weekend with just a bit too much to eat and drink! The two highlights of the weekend were lunch at Mexican Sugar just after Amy arrived on Friday (with their fabulous drinks of course!):

And then on Saturday night we kicked off the evening with an appointment at The Dry Bar.  What a super fun way to get ready for a night on the town!

Jackson loves the rides at La Hacienda.  In fact, I'm not sure if he likes the food or not, but he will always agree to go because of the rides outside.  He got to ride all of them today, but this was his favorite:

Happy 4th!

We stayed in town for the 4th of July this year.  We spent the day at the pool, grilling and watching fireworks.  Here are two classic pics of Jackson from the celebration:
