Jackson and I made the fun drive to San Antonio this weekend to celebrate Fiesta! This has become a yearly trip that Jackson really looks forward to. We started off the weekend with Diana and Dad's Battle of Flowers Parade Party:
Then on Saturday we took him to Kiddie Park. I think he rode every ride at least 5 times!
After a fun filled morning, we walked across the street for a burger. Guess who we ran in to at the restaurant?
After lunch I wanted to stop in to the Texas Co-op to see if they had any fun stuff. After we parked we realized that they were having a huge party, complete with a balloon artist, face painting, snacks and characters. We ended up hanging out for quite some time. Jackson loved it.
After we had spent what seemed like an eternity in a HOT parking lot, we realized that the University of Texas band would be arriving to perform soon. So we stayed even longer for that. Jackson loved it, but I think he was a bit overwhelmed with the size of the band and how loud it was. We were right in front of the drum section.
Then Saturday night we had dinner at La Fonda on Main. I have not been to La Fonda since our rehearsal dinner almost 10 years ago. It was a fun evening, but a big reminder on how much my life has changed in 10 years!
