Swimming Lessons

Tonight was Jackson's first swimming lesson. It was much more difficult than I expected. He loves the water, so I thought he would have a little more fun. He enjoyed the first couple minutes, but then after his first underwater dunk, he had had enough. He screamed for the next 27 minutes of class, that was fun. The teacher told me this was normal and that it would take a few classes for him to get the hang of it. There were only two other kids in his class, a little girl much younger and a boy much older. Both of the other kids have taken swim classes before, so they were much more comfortable with the lessons than Jackson was. We have 19 more classes, here's hoping they end up being a lot of fun for all of us!
