Toddler Bed

After at least 25 climbs out of the crib, including a Sunday morning "wakey wakey", we decided it was time to transform Jackson's crib into a toddler bed.  We took the front rail of his crib on Sunday afternoon while he was playing in the living room.  When we were done we brought him into his room to see his new bed.  At first he was very upset, told me that I broke his bed and needed to fix it.  He even spit on it a few times (nice).  But after a few minutes he started to accept it.  He gathered all of his animals (and as many books and toys as he could find) and let them "check out" the new bed.  It was hilarious.  I was worried bed time would be really tough, and the first 30 minutes were.  He wouldn't stay in bed and was scared.  But after a few trips back into his room, he went to sleep and slept through the night.  We are hoping that tonight is even easier.
