- He is crawling all over the place. He is very interested in exploring, but typically won't get too far before he wonders where we are.
- He is pulling himself up to standing using anything he can find. He loves this new view of the world, but gets a little frustrated when he gets tired and can't figure out how to get back down to the ground. He is starting to learn that if he just lets go he will fall into a seated position. We typically clap and cheer when he does this, so the "fall" typically gets more smiles and laughter than tears.
- He has added lots of "words" to his vocabulary, but da or dadadada are still his favorite words for everything.
- He has just started pointing to things. It is super funny because he doesn't aim his finger to what he is pointing to. His hand will be in the right place/direction, but his finger will be pointing off to the side. His point is typically followed by "da".
- He LOVES to look at pictures of himself.
- Separation anxiety is in full swing, which means leaving him at school each day is a challenge. He is typically fine once one of his teachers picks him up, but he will protest very loudly until that point.
- He is still having a terrible time moving towards solid foods. Most of his foods at this point are 3rd foods and he gets very upset if he thinks it is too lumpy. As for finger foods, he will gag and cough if you simply hold up a puff or a lil' chrunchies. Just imagine how he reacts if he actually has one in his mouth!
- He has 6 teeth and is acting as if his first set of molars are starting to push through the jawbone. Maybe this explains his increased fussiness lately.
This first picture shows how he greeted me after his nap on Saturday:
And this picture shows off his fauxhawk:
Here's a quick video of him showing off his new pointing ability:

Can't believe he's growing up so quick--10 months already doesn't hardly seem possible. You've had quite a year! ;-)
