Going for a Walk

I just realized that we haven't had many posts lately. I blame that on how busy our schedules have been for the last few weeks. I have had a lot of work travel and Jackson hasn't really been himself the last 10 days. Early last week Jackson was diagnosed with his first ear infection (and I know it is probably only the first of many!). Plus he is really suffering with teething right now. He has 2-3 teeth that are about to break through his gums and he is acting as if his molars are starting to bother him as well. This teething business is no fun! Especially since he has started to use our furniture instead of his teething toys. We had to buy a teething guard for his crib, but I'm not sure they sell teething guards for my dining room chairs. Or my coffee tables. Or the window sills.

In other news, he is becoming much more confident with pulling himself up to standing, he can use just about anything now to get up on two feet and then only holds on with one hand. He uses the other hand to point or wave at everything he sees. His pointing skills have improved, he is getting better at aiming his finger at the object he is interested in. And he is now comfortable with sitting himself down once he is tired of standing. He is also very interested in exploring the house, but especially loves anything that we have previously told him is off-limits (like chewing the dining room chairs). The last couple days he has had the most wonderful giggling fits, he will just laugh and laugh and laugh. I need to try to get this on camera.

Finally, here is a quick pic we took of Jackson recently after we went on a walk. He just loves to be outside. Hopefully winter is now behind us and we can start to enjoy spring!
