Jackson is 11 months old today! It has been fascinating to watch his little personality develop as he becomes this adorable little person. He's quite active and curious, so he definitely keeps us on our toes these days. Here's a few of his most recent developments:
- He is quite talkative, stringing full "sentences" together of his baby babble
- His favorite word is "da" and uses it to identify everything...from dad, mom, Tiger, Maggie, car, picture, bottle, literally everything
- He will only say "mama" if prompted...if I say it he will happily repeat it to me, and then return to "da"
- He can easily pull himself up to standing and can get himself back down to sitting, and he is starting to use the furniture to cruise around the room
- He will "dance" and "sing" if he enjoys the music that is playing
- He loves to imitate what he sees and hears...which is really adorable as he tries to learn how to kiss, and also really frustrating when he imitates my scream (he pulled a mirror partially off the wall on Friday and I screamed as I rushed to prevent further damage, he thought the high pitched sound was fun to recreate...no one else agreed!)
- He points constantly. At everything. The point is typically followed by "da"
- He has finally started eating puffs, a big step in the right direction for table food
- He loves to play peekaboo, he will play it forever, never tiring of the game. I, on the other hand, get a little bored after the 16th or 17th time of asking "Where's Jackson?" and answering "There he is!"
